I received my Bachelor of Arts as well as Master of Divinity degrees from Anderson University in Anderson, IN. My life after academia began with a three-year term of service with the American Friends Service Committee, the Society of Friends’ social action arm.
After spending most of my career in the financial services industry, in retirement I served 15 years as an adjunct professor at Sinclar College in Dayton, Ohio. I serve on the Multifaith Campus Alliance Board, the financial sponsor of the Multifaith Campus Chaplain at Sinclair College. I also serve on the Centerville Washington Diversity Council and am a founding board Montgomery County Public Defender program.
While many are driven by the desire to accrue possessions, more important, I believe, are hope and generosity. I am inspired by a statement by the Reverend Eston Williams: “At the end of the of the day, I’d rather be excluded for who I include than included for who I exclude.”
