Forum Rules & Guidelines

Welcome to the Vital Words community. This forum exists to encourage, uplift, and support one another in Christ. To keep this space safe, respectful, and God-honoring, please follow the guidelines below:

1. Honor Confidentiality & Privacy

  • The stories shared here—especially in Recovery & Support—may be sensitive or deeply personal.

  • Treat every post with respect and discretion.

  • Do not share anyone’s story outside this forum without their permission.

  • Use wisdom and discernment before posting details about yourself or others. If something feels too personal, it probably is.

2. No Medical, Legal, or Professional Advice

  • You may share experiences, encouragement, and resources.

  • But do not give medical instructions, therapy advice, prescriptions, or claims of treatment.

  • Encourage others to seek qualified professional help when needed.

3. Be Christlike in Speech

  • Show grace, kindness, patience, and gentleness.

  • No insults, shaming, or harsh debate.

  • Disagree respectfully—unity matters more than winning an argument.

4. Keep Content Appropriate (PG-13 Standard)

  • No profanity, explicit content, graphic details of drug use, or triggering descriptions.

  • When discussing difficult experiences, share responsibly and without unnecessary detail.

5. No Promotion or Solicitation

  • No selling products, coaching services, “quick cures,” or outside programs unless approved by admin.

  • No recruitment to private groups, chats, or platforms.

6. Protect Minors

  • Do not post identifying information or sensitive content involving minors.

  • If discussing a family situation, keep posts general and non-descriptive.

7. Respect the Purpose of Each Section

  • Post your topics in the correct category.

  • Recovery topics belong in the Recovery & Support section.

  • Fantasy/Entertainment belongs in its own section, etc.

8. Report Concerns

If you see a post that seems unsafe, harmful, or urgent, use the report feature or contact an admin. We care about your well-being.

9. Remember: This Forum Is Not Emergency Support

  • If you or someone else is in danger, experiencing withdrawal issues, or considering self-harm, seek immediate help from local services or speak to a professional.
